About Us
The Welsh Institute of Physical Activity, Health and Sport (WIPAHS) is a nationwide collaborative network bringing together universities, policy makers, practitioners, and communities.
Our goal is to turn research into practical solutions that improve physical activity, health, and sport across Wales.

Our Story
Founded to bridge the gap between research and practice, WIPAHS combines expertise from Wales’ eight higher education institutions with national organisations, including Sport Wales and the Welsh Government.
We believe that collaboration drives impact: by working together, we can tackle complex challenges, design evidence-informed initiatives, and support communities to lead healthier, more active lives.
