Dr Sue Williams is a social-psychologist specialising in the relationship between people and the environment, including outdoor recreation and the health benefits of physical activity in nature. She is the strategic lead for social research at Natural Resources Wales (NRW) leading on engagement with national and international research programmes. Sue has spent over 20 years working on various national surveys in Wales, including NRW’s People and Nature Survey Wales and NRW’s topics in the National Survey for Wales. She has extensive experience in the development of survey questions, along with the analysis and interpretation of data and evidence on a wide range of topics, including physical activity, health inequalities, well-being, access to greenspace, attitudes, motivations and barriers to participation in outdoor recreation.
